Chadiza Town Council is making significant strides in infrastructure development under the 2025 Constituency Development Fund (CDF), with health and road projects advancing in tandem across the district.
The council is constructing four new Out-Patient Departments (OPDs) this year, all nearing completion. The Chamaseche facility, like the others, will be fully furnished and supported by a dedicated water scheme to improve healthcare access for residents in the area.
Running parallel to the health facility development, the council is rehabilitating the road from Chamaseche to the Chaninda border. The strategic positioning of this road directly past the new Chamaseche OPD will enhance accessibility to the medical facility while improving connectivity to surrounding areas.
The road rehabilitation forms part of an ambitious council plan to upgrade at least 100 kilometers of roads this year using CDF allocations. Nearly 50 kilometers have already been completed, marking the halfway point toward the annual target.
Council Director of Engineering Munaye Samapimbi emphasized the integrated approach to development, saying the projects are designed to complement each other.
“We are not only building an OPD that will soon be ready and fully equipped, but we are also rehabilitating the road from Chamaseche to the Chaninda border to ensure that we open up the area to as many people as possible,” Samapimbi explained.
The dual focus on healthcare infrastructure and road networks reflects the council’s commitment to addressing critical service delivery gaps while improving economic opportunities through better transportation links.
Both the Chamaseche projects are among several development initiatives being implemented across Chadiza District through the 2025 CDF program.
