Chadiza Town Council has made significant progress on its 2025 CDF projects, with six construction works having reached above ring beam level.
The four new maternity annexes being built at Mwala, Chamaseche, Kapachi, and Chafulu are all making solid progress, along with two classroom blocks going up at Madzaela and Kabvumo.
Kapachi and Mwala are the most advanced, with window frames already installed and ready for roofing works to begin. Chamaseche and Chafulu have also reached above ring beam level and will move to roofing works next.
Over at the school projects, Kabvumo classroom block is also ready for roofing works to commence, while work at Madzaela is moving along well and should catch up shortly.
“All these projects have reached above ring beam level and are ready to proceed to roofing,” explained Munaye Samampimbi, who heads the Engineering Department for Chadiza Town Council.
The ring beam is a concrete structure that runs around the top of the walls to tie the building together before roofing works begin, indicating that the main structural work is complete.
The projects are funded through the 2025 Constituency Development Fund. The maternity annexes will improve access to maternal health services, while the new classrooms will address overcrowding at local schools
