The state of the road might not be something you think about when you’re used to smooth, paved routes, but for residents in rural Chadiza, roads are a lifeline. That’s why Chadiza Town Council has made it a priority to construct and improve critical road networks, using equipment purchased through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
So far, the Council has completed 14 kilometers of road formation on the Kabvumo loop, a vital route connecting several rural communities. Now, attention has turned to a 3.5-kilometer stretch linking Kantantha Primary School to the main road leading to Chadiza Town from the Chaninda border. This section is being carefully gravelled and compacted to ensure durability and accessibility, even in the rainy season.
“These roads are not just about transport they’re about improving lives,” said Munaye Samampimbi, Chadiza Town Council’s Director of Engineering. “They connect families to schools, markets, and clinics, and open up opportunities for economic activities. This is why we are committed to delivering quality infrastructure to our rural communities.”
By using CDF resources effectively, Chadiza Town Council is not just building roads it’s building bridges to better opportunities for its people. As the gravel compacts and the dust settles, the district is moving steadily toward a future where no community is left behind.
