A Civic leader in Chadiza District has expressed happiness at the commencement of borehole drilling in the town, a transformative project made possible by the Central Government’s generous allocation of 25 boreholes through the Ministry of Water Development and Sanitation.
The first phase of this essential endeavor has already achieved a significant milestone with the successful completion of two boreholes in Chanjowe Ward. This marks the beginning of a project that not only promises to provide safe and clean water to the community but also seeks to enhance sanitation and overall health.
Access to clean water is a fundamental necessity for the residents of Chadiza, and the Council is unwavering in its commitment to ensuring that every corner of the town benefits from this vital resource. The newly drilled boreholes in Chanjowe Ward are expected to play a pivotal role in addressing water scarcity, particularly in areas where it has been a persistent challenge.
Jabes Mweemba, a resident of Chanjowe Ward, expressed his gratitude for the government’s intervention, shedding light on the water situation in his community. “The provision of these boreholes is a game-changer for us. We have struggled for far too long with water scarcity, and this initiative brings hope and relief to the people of Chanjowe,” he remarked.
The borehole drilling project aligns with Chadiza Council’s broader mission to create sustainable solutions for the town’s water needs. As more boreholes are set to be drilled in subsequent phases, the Council anticipates a substantial improvement in the overall well-being of the community.
This project not only addresses immediate water needs but also contributes to the long-term health and prosperity of Chadiza. The Council extends its gratitude to the Central Government for recognizing and supporting the town’s essential requirement for clean and accessible water. As the drilling continues, Chadiza looks forward to a future where every resident can enjoy the benefits of reliable water sources, fostering a healthier and more resilient community.
